Directions to Waller Urban Retreat Center

From the North (Via Golden Gate Bridge):

  • Take US-101 S across the Golden Gate Bridge

  • Follow signs for Downtown/Lombard Street and take the exit onto Lombard St.

  • Turn right onto Divisadero St and continue for about 1.5 miles

  • Turn left onto Oak St. The center is located at 1525 Waller St, near the corner of Waller St and Clayton

From the East Bay (Via Bay Bridge):

  • Take I-80 W across the Bay Bridge toward San Francisco.

  • Take Exit 1B for US-101 N toward Golden Gate Bridge

  • Exit onto Octavia Blvd and continue onto Fell St

  • Turn right onto Clayton St.

  • Turn left onto Waller St. The center is at 1525 Waller St.

From the South (via I-280 or US-101 N):

  • Take I-280 N or US-101 N Toward San Francisco.

  • Merge onto CA-1 N toward Golden Gate Bridge/19th Ave

  • Turn right onto Lincoln Way and continue alongside Golden Gate Park

  • Turn left onto Stanyan St.

  • Turn right onto Waller St. The center is at 1525 Waller St.

Encouraging Public Transit

As part of our commitment to caring for the environment, we strongly encourage visitors to reach the Waller Center via public transportation. Using public transit reduces traffic congestion, lowers emission, and minimizes wear on city streets. The Waller Center is well-served by public transit, including multiple Muni bus lines and the N Judah light rail lines.
Muni offers free rides for youth under 18 on all bus and light rail lines. Youth only need to carry an ID to confirm their age.
Muni also provides services for low and moderate income seniors, ages 65+, residing in San Francisco

Mini Bus Lines:

  • Routes 33, 37, 43, and 7 stop within two blocks of Waller Center.

N Judah Streetcar:

  • Walk two blocks north to Waller Street and one block east to the Waller Center

From Civic center:

  • Catch the #7 bus on Market Street and take it up Haight St to the Clayton St stop. Walk one block south on Clayton St, then turn right on Waller St.

On-site Parking

  • Limited parking is available at Waller Center and must be reserved in advanced with the site coordinator.

Nearby Parking:

  • Additional parking is available a few blocks away at Kezar Stadium Parking Lot.

  • Note: No on-site parking is available on Saturdays between 8:30 am and 4:00 pm.
